The Trinity
The Trinity
We believe the Godhead eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God, each having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections. They are thus worthy of the same homage, confidence, and obedience (Matthew 28:18-19, Luke 3:21-22, John 14:16-17, 26).
God the Father
We believe there is one - and only one - true and living God, whose name is Yahweh (Jehovah), the Creator and Supreme Ruler of all the Heaven and Earth (Genesis 1:1, Exodus 20:2-3, Isaiah 44:6).
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, and became a man without ceasing to be God. Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, in order that he might reveal God and redeem the lost. We believe that Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as our sinless representative, in the place of His sheep and on their behalf, and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.
We believe that Jesus Christ ascend physically to Heaven, and now exalted at the right hand of God the Father, where He fulfills for the ministry of High Priest, Intercessor, and Advocate (John 1:1-3, 3:16, 11:27; Romans 3:21-26, I Timothy 2:5, Titus 2:13, Hebrews 1:1-3, 2:9-18, I Peter 2:24, Revelations 1:5).
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is a Divine person, equal with the Father and the Son, of the same nature and substance, and having the same attributes. He convicts men of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and bears witness to the truth. The Holy Spirit is the agent of the new birth, who seals, empowers, guides teaches, witnesses, sanctifies, and helps the believer, indwelling every true child of God (John 14:16-17, Acts 5:1-4, Romans 8:14-27, I Corinthians 12, Galatians 5:16-26, Ephesians 4:30).
